Yep. It’s true, I literally work 12 hours a week a school…over FOUR days!!!! So what does that mean for me? SO MANY THINGS:
-Watching all 10 seasons of Friends…and now Big Bang Theory.
-Giving English classes to some amazing kids.
-Organizing all of my photos on my computer into “events.”
-2 hour walks around my pueblo just because I have the time.
-Intensely reading Game of Thrones.
-“Taking,” I mean, drinking a lot of coffees at the local cafe Candy.
-Eating endless tostadas (toast with tomato sauce and olive oil) at said cafe mentioned above…
But most importantly, I get to take many AMAZING day trips. This past week I traveled to the Southern region of Malaga to visit some friends from my program. We visited the cities of El Chorro and Marbella.
First stop: El Chorro
Second stop: Marbella. Mother and Father, this is your new retirement city.
And finally I ended the weekend with a St. Patty’s Day celebration…with the only other two Americans I know. To say that this wonderful holiday isn’t very popular is an understatement. We three Americans were the only ones truly dedicated to St. Patty’s day in downtown Malaga.
I have come to realize that these people that I spend my weekends with have become some of my closest friends. I don’t know what I would have done with out them. I have traveled the world with them, I have made some great memories, and many of them have pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone. They have helped shape my experience here and I couldn’t ask for a better group of friends! As June approaches I realize that I want to spend as much time as possible with these people!
